TLS Sister Company, Clear Point Health, Launches “CPH Digital”

Clear Point Health, a Research Triangle, NC-based research and consulting firm focused on optimizing the customer experience for healthcare and life science companies, announces the launch of CPH Digital, a service for understanding the digital landscape of thought leadership in healthcare.

Founded in 2003, Clear Point Health — a sister company of TLS — delivers a variety of bespoke research and strategic consulting services to life sciences companies and healthcare institutions worldwide.  Core services include a suite of services aimed at optimizing relationships between industry and healthcare providers, including KOL beliefs and preferences mapping and medical science liaison (MSL) effectiveness assessments.

CPH Digital, a new division focused on helping clients identify, understand, and engage with the people and institutions that shape their therapeutic area globally and within targeted markets worldwide. CPH Digital is led by Kristen Smithwick and Brian Castle.  The new division’s research team utilizes the leading suite of tools for monitoring the digital space, powered by artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics.

“While we’ve been researching digital opinion leaders for much of the last decade, we see a real urgency now across the life sciences industry to understand how leaders in the medical community can shape their therapeutic areas,” said Smithwick. “We see at least a couple of factors driving this urgency:  the fact that many leaders in healthcare have migrated to digital channels – especially over the last two to three years – to engage in scientific exchange, as well as the push to digital necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic limiting traditional modes of engagement.”

“We see a variety of challenges that medical affairs teams are trying to overcome, whether it’s truly achieving an omni-channel engagement approach or simply understanding the critical mass of conversation among key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, patient advocates, and other disease state digital influencers,” said Castle. “There are so many data points out there, it’s important for our clients to have a trusted partner that can distill all the information available into a ‘just-right’ solution to meet their needs. The combination of our industry expertise and the best research tools available is a formidable resource that our clients can use to harness digital for a competitive edge.”
